The best steakhouse in New York. I love how clean & crisp the restaurant layout is from top to bottom. The menu is quiet sophisticated but the service & delivery’s simple but classy. They make you feel at home unlike some other establishments who cater to those they know. Here you are family & I love Porter House like family!

I had a great meal at the bar. The service was attentive and food really good.

Beautiful view of Central Park (request window seat when booking). Food was good too - a decent selection of steak, desserts were perfect, and a book full of drink choices.Our waitress was friendly and attentive - however, other staff filling the water and clearing the dishes were not - in fact one rolled their eyes when clearing our plates!

Absolutely amazing food. The lamb and risotto blew my mind. The view was absolutely breathtaking .

I often take my friends to this place with my warmest recommendations. I go their often. This recommendation is always successful. The the food there is great and the crew is very friendly and cooperative. Whenever we eat in this place we have a lovely evening. I recommend this place with pleasure.

Food was absolutely amazing had a medium rare porterhouse for two, brussel sprouts and the bourbon mashed sweet potatoes. All very good! Also had appetizers and drinks and in the end the bill was $266 (which was to be expected) but as we were leaving the waiter came back to us and asked about the tip not being on the card thinking he didn't get one! It was so rude! We left $60 on the table and I guess he didn't even look?? It was right when we were leaving so it just left a bad impression for me.

Like some other reviewers said, the food was good and portions were good but the service was less than stellar. Our server kind of disappeared half way through our meal and took forever to come back to take our dessert orders and then we waited a long time again until someone came by to ask him for the check, and then again a long time before they returned with our card. Steaks were good: we got the porterhouse for 2 and the ribeye for 2. Serving size was good. The creamed spinach was under seasoned and just overall very mediocre. Mash was good but nothing to write home about. Dirty martini was nowhere near dirty. View was good (if you can get a seat by the window). Bathrooms are clean. Cheesecake was bad - not a classic New York cheesecake as the menu says but has a weird coffee flavor. I noticed the table next to us barely touched their cheesecake either. So yeah, overall, a mixed experience.

At the moment you step in this place the personel give you a comfortable feeling. Very congenial team, it is a happy restaurant to pass time with friends or with your date. tasty meals, professional chef, comfortable price and attentive service. Highly recommended.

What an exquisite meal we had. My wife and I shared the filet mignon with many sides. See the yummy pictures. Our server Tim was knowledgeable and kind. He walked us through each course and made an excellent wine suggestion. I highly recommend this restaurant for date night.

At the moment you step in this place the stuff gives you a good feeling. Very warm crew, it is a friendly place to to go out with buddies or with your date. delicious meals, specialist chef de cuisine, modest price and professional service. Highly recommended.

It's very nice and service was great. We hosted a work event there so we had a private room in the back. Food was good but I honestly can't say it was great. I had the steak which again, was tender but needed salt to bring out some of the flavor. All in all, I liked it but won't be rushing back anytime soon, especially for the price.

Would definitely recommend trying out this place. Excellent ambience, tasty food, fantastic customer service. Kudos.

Met a friend who recommended this place highly, so expectations were high. They did not disappoint at all! The Caesar salad, shrimp cocktail and ribeye were incredible! Get the hash browns as a side, thank me later. The jalapeno margherita was not the best I have had but the bottle of red wine more then made up for it. Great view, great food and great atmosphere make this a must return!

Chef Lomonaco does a great job with steaks and burgers at this nice spot located inside the Time Warner Center. The must-try options include the Bar Burger (one of the best burgers in the city) and the Chili Rubbed Ribeye. As expected, the Porterhouse is also delicious, and the Hamachi appetizer is light, but excellent. Bone marrow fans will not be disappointed either - just prepare for slower service if you sit at a booth across from the bar.

We somehow managed to put together a group of about 10 lunch-hungry friends for an unplanned last minute special lunch. This high end mall restaurant on short notice smoothly rose to the occasion. Food,service,environment were really excellent. The check was surprisingly small considering what we received and where we were. BTW, this is a steak palace and you can't go wrong ordering any of their steaks.

Really wonderful food. I would highly recommend the NY cheesecake. Really; its the best I could imagine. Also some lovely bread and I thoroughly enjoyed the salmon.

I celebrated my nomination earlier this evening in this great restaurant. I am glad to say that we had a cool evening and the place was evidently the reason for that outstanding gathering. The crew helped in a sweet style, the food was appetizing and my buddies were extremely cheerful. We shall definitely come back again for more events. thanks very much.

You may not think of a 5star steakhouse in the top level of a shopping mall, but hey its NYC and places are hard to come by.... Best Fillet and Bolognese that I've had in NYC this far! Top that with great service, always a full glass, and amazing dessert and you obtain 5 stars. Go figure; how easy that is....

Excellent steaks!!The location ist prime good as it is really close to the central park and you have a nice view over the park.Unfortunately it was quite noisy in there, and the atmosphere was not as calm as I would have expected for a restaurant in that price category.Still it was really worth the experience.

Superb place but.... pricy.The restaurant itself is very nice and chique. We were seated I believe at the best table which gave us a epic view on Columbus circle.The quality of the food is really fantastic and all the dishes we had here were from a very high quality.Also the service is top notch: not too much and not pushy at all.The wine prices is a different chapter. I fully understand the price of wine is more expensive than in the liquor store but here the difference is quite high. Frankly speaking looking to these prices and calibrating this with other restaurants I think it’s too much. This is also the only negative remark I can give because all the rest is fantastic.

My exact words to my wife was "the ribeye tastes exactly as if I grilled it at home". This isn't a negative statement except I paid a lot more for this steak at Porter House. In my opinion the steakhouse for NYC standards is just average. The service itself started negative, but the staff really came on strong and our server was fantastic. The bread and broccoli was also just average.

Absolutely love this place. I’m not a steak person but if you are I recommend this place for you. I always have salmon and I really love it here with the sweet carrots. The waiters and waitresses treat you with respect and are available if needed for anything. The chefs here are wonderful as well. I almost forgot the wonderful view of the park and nyc.

I really enjoy going here. I do few reviews, and most of them are when im angry. But this place just goes above and beyond like no other. They are very kind, cordial and make the whole experience positive. Oh and the food is great too.

Wine was too expensive. The waitress was not attentive. She did not give detailed explanation on menu. It was too noisy as well.

Surprised by the lack of service given the high end restaurant. The food was ok but fell far short of my expectations both for flavor and attention with the price range. There are better places, even on the same floor of the building than this spot. It’s not bad, but I expect more from here with how much I was paying. Definitely a solid 3 star experience and food.

Ate some delicious steak. Waiters was excellent. Everything came on time and when I ask for well done, they cook it well done. Also bring me a delicious banana cake for my birthday!

As far as steak goes, this place knows what they are doing. My wife had the skirt steak which was good. My Chili Rub Rib Eye ranks up there as 1 of the best steaks I’ve had. Our salad and sides were just OK.

This place wa excellent! The service was perfect, the food was amazing. The dessert was huge. They literally did everything right. The waitstaff was impeccable.

Truly the best steak in NYC-- cooked to perfection every time. And they have fantastic buttery lobster served out of the shell and excellent sides as well... cheesecake really creamy and simple. Great waitstaff... atmosphere makes you feel like you’re out of town, even if you live in the neighborhood. Magnificent and always consistent... Oh-- great bread too! Huge selection, and always soft and fresh.

The entire experience was great. The moment our Dining Room Manager, Eli sat us down, to when our Server Mark R. explanted the entrees, to when we were introduced to our sommelier, April, explained her favorite reds. The food was delicious and the customer experience was great. I highly recommend Porter House Bar and Grill.

Real grade A5 waygu, I had to indulge. A completely different steak experience and I am glad that I tried it. All around a fantastic meal and great service.

This place is fantastic! I think the waitress name was Nicole she was amazing! I'm not exaggerating. She made the experience great. She's been there 8 years, and I'm sorry it took me so long to experience her great service. She's amazing and should stay there another 8 years. Even though you can't see them, but my hands are clapping for her. Please go there for the food, and her. A combination that's hard to beat.

Steak is amazing. Side dishes also .. food is pricey but you get what you pay for . We booked a table and asked for a seat by the window and were lucky enough after a short wait to get one. Definitely recommend

I've tried most of 'top steakhouses' in NYC. Went for the A5 Waygu tonight and it was absolutely incredible.

We had a delicious meal here, but unfortunately marred by poor service. I expected competent, smooth service at this price point, but our waiter was kind of rude (interrupted our conversation abruptly, made us feel uncomfortable about our orders), and didn't have any helpful information or advice about the wine list. Kind of frustrating! I loved the prime rib with bone marrow, and my dining partner enjoyed his strip. We found the portions very generous, and the dining room was beautiful. But the service would make me think twice about returning.

Food is good, not great. Service on par for what you'd expect. Very small drinks/pours. Extremely overpriced. There are several other steakhouses in the city that provide similar ambience, and much better food and drinks.

Elegant restaurant with extensive wine list. Attentive and friendly service complements a well-prepared meal. Steaks are a must-have where you can't go wrong. Would highly recommend.

This restaurant is extraordinary and roomy, the menu was enchanting and the rates were very affordable. rapidly, effective service and very attentive waiters. Will definitely recommend this restaurant.

We like their lunch set menu - 3 courses and $100 ish for two adults. Risotto was great. It's quiet, large space, clean bathrooms and bar. If they give you seats near the window great view of outside. Great for families or with close friends. I'm sure you can bring a baby and stroller if a young infant, but I know it's good for young and older children too. Nice to dress up a little to match the atmosphere Love the bread selection here too.

Been twice, had great steak and wines twice. Service is crisp and polite. The sides are all to die for. Really like the room as well. If you're in the mood for steak uptown, this is my go to.

On the 4th floor of the jazz centre. Wonderful service, mouth watering food and strong cocktails! Pricey but worth every dollar. We went for the porterhouse for 2, brocolli, onion rings and chips, did not disappoint!
